The build up and review puts this film on a par with the godfather, shawshank, etc etc. It's nowhere near as clever as it thinks it is. Firstly, it's too long, secondly, it's too slow. Most importantly though, many of the things we came to love about the characters over the years they've messed with and ruined.
It's all very well saying things must evolve but if the movie is going to standup to the ridiculously high ratings it's got then there still has to be some sort of timeless message that anyone could relate to. If not, then just keep the action high and the pace strong.
The first avengers film was the best, and gradually they've just got worse and ran out of ideas. They went to the only thing they had left which was time travel, then made the sort of mess that reminded me of when Bobby Ewing appeared in the shower.
Real shame.

It's all about a Marvel movie which takes the same old road to glory: new and old characters all put together, stories that cross one another and turns that we. expected. In my humble opinion it doesn't deserve the #5, not even top #100.
